MCA #0, Tuesday Afternoon

There was still an entire bucket of candy collected from the rain, nominally for the kids when they went back to Hawaii. But that wasn't the focus of the day. Oh no, Danny was doing a little of what could only be called rage baking.

Because someone or certain someones had inflicted a Mountain Dew pizza on him yesterday.

As such, Danny was making a pure, good, unharmed by bad ingredients pizza.

While muttering under his breath about how much Steve was trying to give him an ulcer here.

"We did a lot of bad vodka," Danny replied.

"Shots or terrible mixed drinks?" Steve asked.

"Both," Danny said, making a face. "Clubbing in New Jersey in the late 90s, babe."

Picture it.

Oh, it was a picture.

"Tell me you had a Cosmo," Steve said.

Danny gave him a shove for that. "I did not. But a Cosmo doesn't sound too bad anymore."

Cranberry juice was good.

Especially for an older fella.

"Like a mai tai can be delightful under the right circumstances."

Joe loved himself a blender drink.

"Or a sharkbite!" They were so old right now.

So very.

"With or without gummy fish?"

"I mean, why turn down a gummy fish?" Maybe old enough to not care if people judged their drink choices.

"Because fish shouldn't be gummy?" Steve said.

"It's like having a cherry at the bottom of a cocktail. A little treat at the end." Which Danny appreciated.

"But I don't want weird gummy things," Steve said.

"I'll have your gummy thing," Danny replied with an eyeroll.

"Dirty?" Steve asked.

"Only if you play your cards right." Ah, this was their relationship.

Steve laughed. "Promises, promises."

"Gotta buy me a few drinks if you're looking to get lucky," he drawled.

"Does it count if I paid for the fridge beer?"

Had he?

"Did you?" It was hard to remember who bought what.

"Maybe?" Steve said, frowning. "Who got groceries last week?"

Should he make a chart?

"It's not important," Danny decided. "You can bring them to me in this instance."

Steve laughed at him. "Only because I'll get sex out of it," he declared, getting up to retrieve them.

"That's the key for it," Danny said with a laugh.
