MCA #0, Friday Evening

Well, it was Friday, but more importantly, it was Friday and there was a new episode of one of the shows that Danny and Steve could watch and get just too invested in.

Which also meant date night.

"I'm starting it if you don't hurry your ass up!" Danny warned from the living room.

"Which means what?" Steve asked, kissing him back.

"That you take this to heart, even knowing the truth isn't on you," Danny murmured.

Steve rested his forehead against Danny's. "Yeah. Maybe."

"I know you," Danny said, making it fond. Because it was. Exasperated at times, but fond now.

Steve kissed him between the eyes. "Yeah, you do."

Which meant Danny knew Steve really wanted to change the subject.

Oh, he knew. Which was why he let this linger a little while longer.

"So, you'd make an otter cake for this, right?" Danny asked, finally releasing Steve from the moment.

Steve gave him a shove and a grin. "I'd make a surfboard."

"It's too large!" Maybe for bread week...

"A grenade?"

Steven.

Danny sighed and rolled his eyes. "Only you."

"Maybe like a bouquet of grenades!"

Steven, that is a terrible idea.

"You know what? I'd love to see you make that." He really would!

"I'll do it for Valentine's Day," Steve promised with a grin. "What would you make? Don't say a pizza."

"A nice pasta dish," Danny suggested. "Seafood. And nice wine."

The most fifteen-est dollar bottle.

Fifteen dollars was a nice wine in Steve's world!

"It's a date," Steve said, winking. "And what cake would you make on this show?"

"Huh," Danny said, considering it. "Maybe... boxing gloves."

[grenadesandohana]

"That would be good," Steve said. "That duck is insane."

[hatesparadise]

"Are we sure she's not a ringer?" Danny complained.

"Maybe, but remember what happened to Juergen," Steve counseled.

Steve was still holding a grudge.

"You are still hung up on Juergen!" Again, a very old conversation that would not end.

"They did my boy Juergen dirty, man," Steve said. "Held him to a higher standard than everyone else!"

[hatesparadise]

Projection, Steven!

"Okay, okay."

"He didn't even win German week," Steve muttered.

[hatesparadise]

"Because he was baking for Germans and not the Brits," Danny agreed. "Who have the worst palates."

"They do," Steve huffed.
